Movie Poster
The goal of this project was to take inspiration from a previously existing movie poster, and create our own version with our spin on it.
The Process: Poster
Making the Assets:
With those sketches, I created photoshop files for the different assets, drawing the character assets separately and with details that may not be seen in the final product just to ensure the assets could be used in other places.
Sketches
I sketched out the main characters in the poster and then the background.
I decided to do mine based on the movie poster for Pokémon Zoroark: Master of Illusions, and recreating it with the Hisuan version of the Pokémon that appear in the game Pokémon Legends of Arceus and incorporating the style and eerie feeling this version of the Pokémon has.
Additionally, The Landing Page:
For this project, I was also required to make a landing page for a web advertisement of the movie.
Feedback :
Bringing the assets together, I adjusted the overall colors and added blending modes to emphasize the mood of the poster.
For this, I reused the assets I had already created to make a landing page that resembles the poster
The biggest thing is that in the original design of the poster, it lacked any actual movie information besides the title, and didn’t have any sort of call to action for a viewer to do.

Updates I Made :
I made minor adjustments, firstly adding in the movie rating and additional information about the movie. Then I added the link to the poster to give a viewer something actionable they can do.

Personal Review
This is genuinely one of my favorite projects to have worked on. Being able to do fun things with the typography, and creating the different artwork assets with the whole picture in mind made it much easier to use the artwork in multiple places without awkward cropping.
